[ICOM] pw-1 and fans

Speaking of fans and the 781...I installed the Sherwood fan on the back of
my 781. I was ill fitting and he is sending me a replacement. Their fan is a
bit louder than I prefer so I found a replacement made by Silenex at
www.silenx.com Their fans are amazingly quiet. The one I bought is rated
for 9db, replacing the 34db fan in the Sherwood. The CFM is less but
adaquate. If you order one of the Silenx fans, don't bother ordering the
quietest one because all they do is put a resistor in series and charge
extra for it!
