The proIII manual does not show that the radio supports 60M. The icom
website, however, says it supports it.

I am sure that you can enter 60M channel frequencies via the keypad, but I
am surprised, that it does not show up in the manual, at least in the spec
page at the end of the manual. Here is the Rx and Tx coverage specs from the
back of the proIII manual. No 60M.

•Frequency coverage :
Rx 0.030–60.000 MHz*1*2
Tx 1.800– 1.999 MHz*2
3.500– 3.999 MHz*2
7.000– 7.300 MHz*2
10.100–10.150 MHz*2
14.000–14.350 MHz*2
18.068–18.168 MHz*2
21.000–21.450 MHz*2
24.890–24.990 MHz*2
28.000–29.700 MHz*2
50.000–54.000 MHz*2

This is not a big deal to me since I have made only one contact on 60M and
won't miss the band much.

Anyone know anything about this?

Also, it seems that the test report only addresses EMI and the receiver. If
the radio now supports 60M, shouldn't the test also address the transmitter?

Sign me a little confused. Can someone straighten me out here?

As of Sep 09, 2004 the new ICOM IC-756 PRO III has been certified by the
FCC. The FCC ID is AFJ217800.

I have placed a link to the FCC certification on my 756Pro3 page:

http://www.qsl.net/ab4oj/icom/ic756pro3/756p3.html

There are links to the Pro3 User Manual, and to some photos, on the FCC
certification page, and also on my 756Pro3 page (link above) and here:

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ
