[ICOM] PW-1 and Omni 6

Well I can definitely tell you that the lack of ALC is no problem. I just
adjust the Omni VI's power output for the proper drive and it keys
beautifully. This Omni VI is modified however. The amp keying is usually
done by a relay but this has been bypassed and instead, the TXD signal
drives a transistor which in turn keys the PW-1. I've been running it at
speeds slightly over 50wpm QSK and have had no trouble. I did have the
"protect" kick off a few times while using the IC-781 which tends to have a
slight spike on keydown however.
No, my only problem at hand now is getting the band switch on the amp to
follow the rig. If the Icom gear is using TTL then I should be able to drive
it directly although I did give that a try and nothing happened. I can't
seem to interpret what address I should be using. The Omni's addresses are
like 04 through 20 and Icom speaks in hex I suppose. I wonder if it matters?
