Jim,

Once you have the Freq, dup direction, tone all set in VFO and it is
working then you pressed up Down button to select the memory channel you
want to program, pressed the MW 4 button and held it for 1 sec.
Now you press the V/M 1 button to go into memory mode and what you
programmed are not there? Page 41 of the 910H manual is what I am reading
"Programming in VFO mode" should get you through it. Do you have the beeps
enabled. There should be a series of beeps when the channel is programmed.

We have just started a new repeater in our area and I am finding it
>impossible to lock it into memory. I follow the instructions
set everything
>in the VFO mode and save. It seems to indicate that I have it in a memory.
>However, if you bump the vfo knob or the rig looses power, I loose the tone
>and dup settings. Anyone have a clue as to what I must be doing wrong?
>Thanks
