Hello all,
Again I must concur with the other postings affirming this problem. Poor
capacitors in the PLL section. I have a 751 that had these replaced a
couple
of years ago. In my case I lost audio response both TX and RX on all bands
above 30 metres.
Cant help with any details about the work involved though as I sent it back
to Icom for repair. This is a common problem with the 751 series however as
Icom even released a service note regarding it.
Rig goes like a rocket again after being repaired.
Des - VK3DMP.
