Actually, you are doing everything with the IF-DSP in your IC-756Pro -
transparently.

The Noise Reduction feature is only one function of the DSP engine which is
the heart of the radio. I usually leave NR at 50%, for approx. 20 dB
reduction in band noise level. There is not much additional effect above
50%.
