[ICOM] ICOM IC765 AND N3FJP SOFTWARE

I replied earlier to this message asking which program he was having trouble
with. I subsequently got a private e-mail from another party who indicated
he had tried three of the programs and when they did not work, he sent it
back. I decided I would respond immediately rather than waiting for Graham
to reply. I am really happy with the programs and am sure the problems are
not with the program.

I used the N3FJP Field Day program this summer, and most recently used his
CQP program. they work great on both my Icom ProII and the old Icom IC-765.

Specifically for the IC-765, it is important to note the CIV interface
default baud rate is 1200 for the IC-765 but I have changed the dip switches
and use the rig at 9600 baud. I use 19.2 KB on the PII Both speeds are
well supported.

It is also important to note there is a place on the setup screen where you
enter the HEX address of your rig in lieu of the '56' Scott has in the
program. You must put in the IC-765 value of 2C which is the Hex
representation. Do not use the 44 they mention in the manual as it is the
decimal equivalent. I hope this helps.

I would like to know if anyone on this reflector is using the N3FJP software
with the IC765. I'm having a problem with the software recognizing the 765.
I contacted Scott, and he hasn't the answer. Can anyone help?
