[ICOM] Wanted US dealers who ship to Canada

Thats because the distributor covers the warranty. Icom's warranty dollars
are figured into the distributor selling price. When either Icom Canada or
Icom America sells product to one of its dealers, the dollars for possible
warranty repair are built into that price the dealer pays. This money is
not reimbursed form Icom Japan at least was not when I worked there.
I used to receive requests for Icom not to be truthful about products
shipped out of the US. As a business, you just can't do that.
I agree as you say there are good reasons to keep the dollars home. I
looked yesterday and the Bank of Canada was saying the Canadian dollar was
still about $0.75 of the US dollar.
