[ICOM] Wanted US dealers who ship to Canada

One thing you must make sure of Hart is who covers the warranty, should any
problems arise. I know of a fellow who purchased a radio out of the U.S.A.,
saved himself a couple of bucks, but when he had a problem, he had to send
the radio back to the States to have it fixed. He paid Canadian dollars for
the freight down, and then had to pay for the freight back in U.S.dollars.
Then the big surprise, customs charged him G.S.T., and here in B.C., the PST
for the services done. The invoice showed the labour hours, and parts used,
and although the invoice clearly stated no charge, the Customs folks got
their piece of the pie. Do what I did when I purchased my new radio. I
went to the dealer and told him that the radio could be purchased in the
U.S. for less money and could he be competative. He was.
Check everything out before you spend the buck.
