[ICOM] icom 756 pro II or level converter interface

This weekend while  in sweeps contest, well before the contest began, my 
computer and icom decided to stop talking to each other. What happens is that 
using either NA or WIN-EQF the rig sends info to the computer really fine. After a 
few minutes it stops. After rebooting the computer (P233) and shutting the 
rig off and powering back on again nothing. Changed serial ports, checked cables 
 etc..the usually stuff. Even reset the cpu on the pro II. It seems that when 
the rig is cold and off for 5 or so minutes, no problem. After a min or so, 
it stops sending or receiving information. The level converter is the LCU-3 for 
icom from W1GEE products. I have had it working FB for at least 2+ years. I 
havn't been on the air a lot over the past year, but everything always worked 
great. I am hoping that the interface has gone sour not the rig.
