Hi John,

As your e-mail address appears duff, I am replying via the reflector.

It sounds like a short-circuit in the PTT lead or switch in the mic. You can
verify this by checking with an ohmmeter across Pins 5 and 6  (and also 5
and 7) of the mic plug.

If the PTT lead is  OK, the only other possibility I can think of is that
you have VOX active, and have accidentally set the VOX gain too high or the
anti-VOX level too low.

    HI ADAM,  THIS MORNING I TURNED MY PRO2 ON AND IT WENT IN TX WTHOUT ME
DOING ANYTHING.  I HAVE A PW1 IN LINE WITH IT.  I CHECKED THE VOX AND IT WAS
OFF AND I CHECKED ALL CONECTIONS FROM THE AMP TO THE RIG AND EVERYTHING
LOOKED OK.  I UNPLUGED THE MIC AND IT STOPED TRANSMITTING, PLUG IT BACK IN
IT GOES INTO TX.  I DID A MASTER RESET AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE.  CAN
