[ICOM] IC-706 Programming

So, any tips on what steps I might be missing? I tried to follow the
manual, but it seems to jump around from one part to another, and I may have
missed a step.
Note that a CI-V is not an option - I don't own this radio - or any other
ICOM gear, so this would be a "one time" thing.

It is very painful to almost everyone. If you follow all of the steps in
the book, it works but even then it takes lots of practice. They certainly
were not thinking when they did that part of it! NOT THINKING AT ALL!
It does work but what a pain.
