[Icom] Strike

While this may not be ideal, this is what I have been doing and I have
been 'lucky' so far. It is extremely difficult to completely disconnect
all the antenna lines from all the equipment simply because everything
is hard to reach in my installation.

I disconnect all my equipment from the AC mains when bad weather is in
the area. My station is on the second floor and the only ground for
the equipment is the tower itself. The whole station is grounded to the
tower at the second floor level. There are no other connections to the
station other than the AC mains, which I disconnect. There is no phone
line in the shack and Internet is by WiFi so there are no ethernet
cables either. There are 3 8 foot Rods at the base of the tower, which
reminds me, I need to do some updating in that area. I think I may be
somewhat protected in the area that I live as there are many very tall
structures to the south of me.

I think it is pretty tough for the average amateur to be lighting proof.

73 and Good Luck this summer.
