Subject: [Icom] re: protective film/offensive slurs
Hi Renee, Something else you might do a search for is the protective film
used on Auto/Motorcycle Dirt track racing helmets. It is applied in several
layers and is then stripped off a layer at a time as it becomes to dirty to
see thru.I'll see if I can locate some when I have a few minutes . I hope I
have not used any words such as the one that Adam mentioned in the past.I
lived on Okinawa Japan for two years courtesy of the US Marine Corp and
personaly know the Japanese find the slur "Jap" very offensive .I think it
is something we don't think about when we use it but it is out of place here
and in radio. I try to watch my language but it is not easy as I work in a
Maximun Security Prison and find that if you don't use the same language the
inmates use ,they don't hear to good. I have often tripped when my foot gets
caught in my mouth outside of the prison bars.73 to all, Chris,n9xm
