That explains a lot. He uses a FT1000D and "Icom 751As" as his choice of
best radios and an Ameritron 1200 and a 1500 as "best amps'. Many well
regarded hams have different opinions in both categories but he is certainly
entitled to his. I have always thought the Ameritron amps were better than
most amp "experts" claim, btw.
