FYI, Tom Rauch (W8JI) is a well-known and respected consulting engineer. 
Whenever he gets a new piece of ham gear in his hands, he tests it in his
lab for any anomalies and posts the results.

He is the designer of Ameritron amplifiers and the MFJ-259/259B antenna
analyzers and the MFJ-1025/1026 noise reducers and other popular ham
equipment.

Anyone who knows him respects his opinion.
