[Icom] 775 question

The power spike was discussed by W8JI on one of the reviews on eham on the 
775. It was an earlier unit. He also discussed VFO bleedthru which I too 
experienced on an earlier 775 serial 19-- owned several years ago.
I recently found a late serial 27-- 775 and before I use it with the AL1500 
wanted to be sure the spike problem was corrected.
I do turn the rf power back to about 30 watts but would hate to blow an 
expensive tube with over 200 watts momentarily hitting the tube.
