[Icom] IC-706 shut down

Here is a wild-ass guess, but how was the power source? Is it above 12
volts? While most of these rigs are set to 13.8 =/- 15%, the setting
isn't perfect. Some are still set higher or lower. I had a technician
look at my kenwood and he adjusted it so it wouldn't run on 12 volts any
more. I had to keep it on a power supply or keep the auto engine on.
Ticked me off to no end. I would have given $100 at the time to learn
the adjustment.
Anyway, just one thing to look at. You might have a part failure.
What? I don't know. Good luck. I hope it is painless to repair,
whatever it is.
