Hi Paul

I have used an Icom PCR 1000 with the DSP unit in for some time. I havegot=20
rather attached to TALK PCR software. the help screen says this about the DS=
P=20
unit and how it is controlled by TALKPCR.=20

The DSP toolbar provides control of the DSP unit within the PCR1000.
Just turning the DSP on, provides a low pass filter function that can be=20
useful. =20
The Auto notch function can have dramatic effects on a short wave signal.
The Noise function has 16 levels, selected by the slider control. Turning=20
the control too high will result in loss of intelligibility.
Note, there appears to be an interaction between the two functions, ie the=20
notch filter woks much better when the noise functions is off and vice versa=
.
The =E2=80=98L=E2=80=99 button is the lock button, with button down, the DSP=
 settings are=20
locked, ie they will not follow the settings of the selected channel.
If the DSP settings are currently active the main form DSP panel legend will=
=20
be highlighted.
If the DSP lock is on, the DSP panel on the main form will be white.
The DSP settings are stored on a per channel basis.
