Be sure to ground your car's biggest radiating antenna -- the exhaust 
pipe.  It runs from the engine block back about 20 feet, with insulated 
standoffs to keep it ungrounded.  Run a piece of flexible braid from the 
frame to the rear end of the pipe.  That reduced my noise by 80%.  All of 
the other grounding added perhaps 5-10% more.
