Doug: Try a long piece (25 ft)of coax from the radio to a small handheld
antenna NOT mounted on the vehicle--6 inches of wire or a 10 turn coil ought
to do it. Walk around the vehicle and maybe you may be able to sniff out the
noise. My own experience of "ground everything" wastes a lot of time, and
often does not locate the noise source. Find the source, then filter and
ground.

One comment: A friend purchased a Yaesu FT-100D instead of a 706MKIIG
because the NB in the 100D eliminated the problem his vehicle noise caused,
while the ICOM NB did not. --Mike, WV2ZOW

My fuel pump has been filtered so it's not that.  I even put a metal shield
around the computer and still have the noise.
