[ICOM] IC-706MKIIG And Ambient Noise

I have the MkII.  I had to ground everything in my room, including a 2
drawer metal file cabinet sitting in the middle of the floor.  I had the
most success with wrapping the power wire and the ground wire in large
toroids.  It took a lot of work to ground everything out but then I had
a problem in the car too.  The toroid on the power cord, again was the
answer.  I still get s-3 noise, and I get bleedover from strong am
stations nearby.  (I live between two AM stations located less than a
mile and a half from each other.
