[ICOM] new 706MKIIG specs

 My previous post reguarding no band edge beeps and transmission beyond the band edges has been cleared up by the dealer and by Icom.
  The newer 706MKIIG"S within the last month, have had their band edge beeps and their band edges extended ,by ICOM, at time of manufacture.. all the new ones will come this way now.
 Example: 17 meters the new operating range is now 17.9 to 18.5,with a band edge beep at both ends of the range.
 Example: 20 meters is 13.9 to 14.5 both ends marked. 15 meters is now 20.9 to 21.5.
  The radio will transmitt anywhere between these markers.
  this holds true for ALL THE BANDS ...the wider coverage.
 I never discovered this wideing of the coverages and the new end of transmission range,untill it was pointed out.
  Thanks to all how responded to my post earlier,I guess now we all know what is going on. Its too bad Icom does not see fit to inform the end user of engineering changes in their radios. I do not know.
