I don't know what the DSP sounds like in the 756 Pro, but the one in the
Icom 706MkII does not sound anything like the DSP recording on the Clear
Speech site.

If you have to save money and want a DSP, I suggest getting any decent
you can afford but don't consider DSP and get the DSP speaker that SGC
has. I hear it is better and faster than clear speech, or get a clear
speech (They have been out of stock for a while) if you can find one.
Either will impress you more than the one that comes in the MkII for
sure.

Oh, and don't forget to consider filter's for CW or SSB or both if you
do both. DSP is no substitute for good bandwidth.

Good luck.

Buck

I am keeping an eye out for an HF radio. What would be a good one to
get? Like the most bang for the buck without spending an arm an leg on
one? I know the Icom 756Pro, 775, 781, 746Pro and others are good but a
little too much $$. What would an older good radio be? Something good
for DXing and contesting.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Renee NZ9T
