I agree with John's suggestion of the IC-740. The IC-745 and IC-751A are
also worth considering. The IC-765, which is a self-contained radio with
built-in mains PSU and autotuner, is an excellent choice (with the PBT Mod).

I am keeping an eye out for an HF radio. What would be a good one to
get? Like the most bang for the buck without spending an arm an leg on
one? I know the Icom 756Pro, 775, 781, 746Pro and others are good but a
little too much $$. What would an older good radio be? Something good
for DXing and contesting.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
