[ICOM] Icom765 transmit problems

My Icom 765 will not transmit.  I had not been on the air for several months and when I tuned up the rig everything seemed to be performing normally.  Suddenly, the radio would not transmit although the receive was fine.  No matter what band or mode I try the red transmit light does not light and the rig will not transmit at all. Does anyone have any ideas ?
