[ICOM] Icom 761A

Was I hallucinating (it's been known to happen), or
did Icom also make a 761A in addition to the 761? 
Seem to remember seeing it spoken about once or twice.
 If so, how did it compare to the regular 761?  For
example, I know that the 751A was a major improvement
over the 751.  

Is the 761 a good radio?  Looks like it from its
specs.  Looks like it would be a competition grade
radio even today. Started to look for one for my
shack.
