[ICOM] ATU INFO PLEASE

If you don't have a linear amp, the "tuners" inside Icom equipment
should work well, at least the one inside my 756 Pro does. However if
you do have one, a linear that is (and you would hope it's pretty
linear), you may want to look at those made by Ten-Tec, Palstar or if
you are good at correcting bad solder joints and loose connections you
may want to venture (or maybe adventure) with MFJ. I have equipment
from all three and they will all work (cross your fingers and have a
soldering gun and a good set of tools close to the the MFJ were you to
choose that one; open it and check it out closely before you try it).
  I'm presently using a Ten-Tec 238 "tuner" and though not perfect it's
pretty good. Seems to work well with my no radials inefficient
vertical.

Hope this helps.
