[ICOM] Stingy S meter

John,

If you have access, check the receiver sensitivity on service equipment. 
Might be an adjust ment for S-meter sensitivity, I don't remember in the 
910. How does the S-meter do in SSB?
Many times the S-meter in FM is a percent quieting meter not a signal 
strength meter in the Icom products. I would have to read the service 
manual theory of operation to see if it mentions the FM S-meter operation.

If the trouble persists or others can't assist remind me and I will stop by 
Icom and ask some of the techs. I need to get some accessories for my new 
IC-718 anyway next week.
