Try turning the computer off ...Lots of Birdies from many PC's. Nothing on
50.125 here.

I checked both of my 756 PRO's and not a sound on 50.125 unless the antenna
is connected.  Then noise.

Same for the IC-7800, which does have a noticeable birdie at 50.140.

Hi Martin,

Welcome to the magic band!  I have the original Icom 756Pro, and it too has
a minor birdie at 50.125.  I run the auto notch filter on when I'm working
6, and it takes it out OK.  I've never asked the question, but it seems
that it may be a common characteristic.  Yes, 50.125 is the SSB calling
frequency.  See you on 6!
