I'd extend the receive, as I have a lot of public service in my area over
470 mhz.

I'd also enable "Pro" DSP as per my 746 Pro, but unlike the 746, AM
bandwidths would also be programmable.

Better noise filtering, such that I could listen to more SW while driving.

Lastly, slightly more Audio power.  I drive a radio shack "brick" speaker
and it could use a bit more wattage.
