[ICOM] PW-1 problem

Hi Chuck,

Perhaps it would be worth while to contact the TRLog programmers, and point
this out as a deficiency in their product. Given that quite a number of
Icom owners run the PW1, a logging program should support the optimum data
rate for the PW1 (9.6 kb/s).

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [ICOM] PW-1 problem

Thanks to all who responded to my request for help on my PW-1 problem.

I conclude that there is no grounding wire to be attached when removing the
remote controller.

I also conclude that I must set the IC-756PROII baud rate to 9600 to match
the PW-1 to get the PW-1 to follow band changes on the 756. I am committed
to using TRLog for my station operation (switching antennas and bandpass
filters and stubs) and logging and TRLog does not allow 9600 baud. 4800 baud
is required and works perfectly with the 756. But this is no big problem as
I can quickly change bands on the PW-1 by pushing the up or down buttons on
the remote console.

Thanks-Chuck DU3NXE
