[ICOM] IC-756 - CW problem - and on Christmas yet!

Carl,
Grab your voltmeter and look at the voltage the power supply is producing
right at the entrance to the radio. There is enough room to slip the probes
into the back of the DC plug . I would suspect the power supply is doing a
nose dive when you transmit and or can't source enough current. Make sure
if its an adjustable supply you are giving the radio enough current. Lastly
i have seen RF radiation go through the DC power cord and get into supplies
over the years. About the only way to sort that out is to try a battery in
place of the supply or wind some of the DC cord around a torroid or ferrite
stick.
