[ICOM] What does "G" mean

Hello , My friend in Osaka , Ja. says that the G stands for Grand or Great.
His first reply was that he had to speak with someone about this and would
get back with me. He did not give me the first answer that he could come up
with but actually spoke with someone who is supposed to know this type of
