[ICOM] Icom "Dual Watch" feature and the Balance Control

Don't get too excited.. the signals are combined digitally in the DSP
process. It's not your father's analogue radio.... Having used the FT-1000
series for years, I was very used to the stereo approach. It took a while,
but now I am very comfortable with the balance control approach as the
mixing is done very well - almost transparently. But having the option to
choose would be nice.

As for why ICOM didn't incorporate stereo dual watch - things like lawyers,
patent process etc had a lot to do with it. Remember the PBT issue?
