Are you sure that you didn't get one of the Japanese
versions by mistake. I assume that they probably have
domestic JA versions which default to 10 watts and 50
watts at high power due to their different license
classes. This may be a long shot, but maybe one of
the 50 watt JA versions accidently made it over here
as a US version. That would explain why it only does
50 watts at high power. Not sure if you can change
the version in some sort of hidden menu setting like
you can on Yaesu.
