Jens , That is very simular to the old "Icom Fix". Loosen all of the screws
on the circuit boards a half a turn then tighten , unplug all jumpers and
ribbon cables then reconnect. This worked some of the time on pre 2000
radios but this is the first time I have ever heard it being done to late
