At 2.5 Kilo BUCKS plus a pop it is getting a bit costly in the Instant
obsolescence department for my wallet.
I am still trying to get ICOM to admit that my IC-756 ProII suffers from
major obsolescence in comparison to my lowly IC-706 MKII .
With the IC-706MKII the new 60 meter band is "easy" with the IC-756 Pro
it's a big time NO No...... and like the IC-151 issues with the IC-746
Pro Icom has major RX problems when it comes to obsolescence planing for
their customers by locking the radios to the point that you can only do a
fork lift upgrade unlike even my 3 year old computers that I can easily
upgrade with new OS's,memory, larger/faster hard drives,better
video/audio cards.
I guess that like the old saying states "third time is a charm", I guess
that I will as others will wait for the IC-756 Pro V.
