Hold on everyone, I think I detect a note of sarcasm
in this post? Also note the reference to April 1
(April Fools Day - a coincidence?)

The days of improvements to HF radios where you got a
nice switch on the front panel as an upgrade to the
old model that used plug in coils are over. And so the
manufacturers are left with the question "what can I
change on a 2 year period to attract new buyers?". 

Icom's improvements to an already great rig seem FB
here!

I have decided to wait for the new Pro IV, which I
understand, will be released on April 1st of 2005. 
According to Icom, it will be a significant
improvement over the original Pro, Pro II, and Pro III
