Likewise, I needed an HT for a trip up to Toronto recently.
I wanted to load up some frequencies in advance, so it HAD to have
alphanumeric
readout. I was not going to have another list of what freqs are what
repeaters.
I had no preference of manufacture, but asked around and read the
reviews...I came up with what I believe the best choice...a Kenwood TH-G71.
I am glad I made the choice I did!!!
Just my experience from going down the same road!!
