[ICOM] Re IC765 No Transmit

Hello to all.....

I recenty acquired an IC-245 2 Meter FM radio, It is in very, very nice 
shape. However, it has some problems:
1, the display is dead.
2, the radio appears to xmit only on 143.99 mHz.

I understand that these radios had problems with 'plated-thru hole' solder 
connections......

I don't want to spend a bunch of money on the old girl, but since I collect 
Icoms, I was wondering where to start. I would have no hesitation about sending 
it to Clif at Avvid (if he were still in business....

Any suggestions??????
