If you can do a little bit of soldering, you can duplicate the CT-17 for
next to nothing. It surprises me how much the CT-17 sells for when the
actual prices are checked.

I copied the CT-17 schematic from a friend & built my own back in 96 or 97
for only $13. As an experiment, I bought ALL new parts just to see what the
actual cost might be. As someone said here recently, the Big-3 make a good
profit from the follow up purchases to their radios.

If you'd like to me eMail the diagram to you, let me know. I have to it on
a personal basis as the reflector does not allow attachments.
