[Icom] CIV Control of Icom VHF and UHF rigs

Hi All,

I need to set up some UHF and VHF radios for Skywarn use in an
operations center that is 500 cable feet from the antenna location.
Running heliax is not an option and remote control of radios placed
in the equipment shelter near the antennas seems the best way to go.
I know many of the current rigs support a cpu interface that lets 
them be cloned from each other and I wonder if this is a CIV 
interface that could be used for rig control, mainly frequency,
tone, offset, and power.  If so is there any freely available
software that would demonstrate this function on a IC-2100H.  I
know this would work with a 706 but the price of that may be a bit
steep.
