Well said, I may agree with your thoughts here.
Case in point; the 746Pro/7400 which filled a price area with similar performance as the more expensive P2.
A low cost version of the 7800 makes sense, with less features, and a moderate reduction in overall performance.
Still out of my price range, I guess my "old, outdated" P2 will just have to do, and I guess I'll "struggle" by with it until I can by a used 7800.
