Hi,
I have a DVD player which I bought in Korea two years ago. This thing
has RS232 port which I can use to flash firmware. I got in touch with
the manufacturer for some quircks(one being region
locked), I was able to DL revised f/w. Voila! It plays literally EVERYTHING.
Soon I think all sophisticated electronics devices will be like this. I
know my digital cable terminal
is constantly updated by Shaw cable by downloading. I can see the f/w
revision no. keep changing
whenever I go into set up mode. Wonder if a radio will come out with
built-in memory stick slot
or sosmething.
