[Icom] IC-7800 intell.

I am sure the US version will have a different model number, this will be
the only way that Icom can assure the proper optioned models go to the
proper country. Also Icom America will only work on the IC 746 PRO and
refuse the IC 7400 (the Japan model). So hence they would need different
model numbers for warr.

As to the TT O rig, rumors are that it is still not in full production due
to quality issues.

As far as the ICOM reps at Dayton were concerned, it is the IC-7800 now,
but if a US version carries a different number, they didn't know about
that, yet.
Only time will tell us.
If even half the things they told me about the receiver(s) (yes, I said
receivers), is true, this radio will dominate any and or all amateur
radios, and hold it's own against most commercial/mil radios anywhere.

Orion? forget it! Not even in the same class, totally out of it's league
against the IC-7800...
