Well, there is no student loan. We're paying her tuition out of savings--I
hate to borrow money unless it's unavoidable. I took eight months off from
work about a year and a half ago (I got laid off and decided to just take
some time off instead of worrying about finding another job right away), so
I'll have to hold off for a year on the IC-7800. Besides, I'd rather wait
and let them iron any possible bugs out before I buy (as much as I'd love to
have one now!). I just got my ProII about ten months ago, and I'm quite
happy with it.

But if I can swing it in a year, I'd really like to get an IC-7800.

I look forward to hearing from those who take the plunge!
