I have a Camry as well. It is a 2002 one. The book said donot use a
transmitter therein as it will affest the operation of the vehicle. I have
thought of having a 2m and a 70cm rig in it.

I plan on using the power plugs, ie, the extra cigarette lighter plugs to
run it. I would like to remove the ash tray and use that area to put the
face plate in. Has anyone tried this?

Also, how would an antenna as a look-a-like-cell antenna be set up just
above the rear window?

To me the power is readily available with these power outlets. It is the
possiblity of over ridding the computer and setting up the antenna.
