[Icom] Re Icom 775

Bought mine in December 1996, serial #1489 about 18 months after the
775 first came out. I did send it back to Icom for several
upgrades /mods in June 1997. This is one great radio and has performed
well over the years.
My understanding is there has NOT been any significant change in the
775dsp since it was introduced. Around serial number 1900 the
upgrades /mods (e.g., rotary shaft encoder, AGC, CW, etc.) were done in
the factory as part of the production run and not in the field as with
the earlier units.
