[Icom] Intermittent Heil headset problem

I have not had this problem with either of mine. Mine was inside the
earpiece as I earlier posted.I first suspected this or the PTT switch on the
cord. I changed this out and used a jumper from the top of the switch to the
radio and I still had problems and thus I went to the next link in the chain
, the earpiece. Mine would go out at the slightest movement. OBTW mine was
the audio lead that broke as I operate ssb mobile with a footswitch into the
face and the headset pluged into the rear jack. I showed TX on the light but
no pwr out or alc. Just a little extra info as my problems may be different
from yours but might be the same as the next guys. I wish I knew this while
I was out on the road as it would have saved me buying a new one. Rick
